Dear Settlers,

Guilds are known for their cooperation and comradery, but they are also known for good old-fashioned rivalries and competition. Today we're formally announcing the inaugural Guild Fest: celebrating those very aforementioned qualities, we're challenging every guild to band together and challenge each other to find out who's the greatest in all the land! There's loot to be had for everyone who partakes, but naturally, there's only room for one grand winner: who will earn the bragging rights (literally) of being champions of their server!

Selling guild slots for in-game resources can result in a temporary ban for the duration of the event for the advertising player.
Selling Guild slots for money will result in a permanent game ban.

Event start: 29 November, 09:00 CET
Complete deactivation: 11 December, 09:00 CET
Requirements: Level 1+ | Be in a guild with at least 2 members

This event will activate a new category in the in-game Merchant where you can obtain items, buffs, and adventures required to contribute to your guild's participation - help each other achieve victory!

Guild Fest is a server-wide event where guilds battle for bragging rights by using teamwork to achieve the ultimate bragging rights. The event is centered around the production and conversion of resources into a new in-game currency called "Guild Fest Tokens", with the goal of accumulating as many tokens as possible before the Donation Stage ends. Here's an in-depth look at how this event unfolds:
Donation Phase - 10 Days
This marks the beginning of the Guild Fest Tournament, and guilds will be unleashed to begin accumulating scores as quickly as possible - primarily using the Guild Fest Tournament Grounds in the center of the Event Island.

Reward Phase - 3 Days
Once the Donation Phase ends, the event moves into the Reward Phase. At this point, the scores are locked in place and an ultimate winner is determined, along with every other guild being placed into their respective reward tier relative to how they performed against other guilds on their server. Participants will receive rewards based on these placements, including a special currency to be spent in the Event Reward category; more on that further below!

Event Removal - Immediate
When the Reward Phase ends, the event will officially be over, and removed from the game. This includes any left reward currency, so make sure you don't leave anything on the table!

Event Requirements
There's only one requirement to compete: players must be part of an active guild. This means that solo players or those not in a guild cannot take part in Guild Fest. However, that can be quickly remedied by finding a guild for you to call home that's right for you; there's no need to wait for the Guild Fest to kick off either - you can start finding a guild that suits your needs right now!

Server-specific Contest
Guild Fest is an event that runs on a per-server basis, meaning that each server has its own unique competition. Unlike the Anniversary Event where participation was on a global level, with this new event you will be pitted only amongst other guilds that only exist on your server.

Championing your Guild
Each player competes under the banner of their guild, contributing to their overall success. As players complete production tasks and specific adventures, their individual efforts will help generate "Guild Fest Tokens". Every token earned by a player counts automatically toward their guild's total score, and the guild with the highest score at the end of the event will be crowned the ultimate victor!

Rewards
Once the event concludes, guilds are awarded "Guild Fest Commendations" based on their overall performance throughout the event, in addition to the fixed prizes within each tier! The number of commendations a guild receives is directly tied to their performance and where they are placed in the tiered leaderboard. Commendations can then be spent individually by players in the Event Reward shop, which contains all sorts of goodies such as specialists, buildings, and buffs!
We're very excited to see guilds compete for server domination; but while a healthy rivalry can be a great boon to motivation, don't forget to help your lower-level guild members to ensure your guild is outputting its maximum score possible!

A new event means brand new Achievements to be obtained for the duration of the "Guild Fest". To check them out, head over to the Achievements panel. Click on Economy and there you can find 34 new Achievements in the "Upgrades" Category. 
Some Achievements are needed to upgrade the very new and majestic "Tower of Bragging Rights"!

To get started with helping your guild attain victory, you will need to visit the Guild Fest Tournament Grounds in the center of the Event Island. This will be your conduit of how to ultimately increase your guild's score.

Guild Fest Tokens
 
 
This is the lifeblood of the Guild Fest, and your primary goal is to get as many of them as possible! These can be obtained through quests and resource conversion during the "Donation in Phase". 
 
In order to get started, simply visit the Guild Fest Tournament Grounds and click on it to see what resources it wants you to produce and donate.

There are also ways of helping you boost your production and get you those precious Guild Tokens at an even quicker rate. Two new buffs will be available during the event: "Cheer!" and "Cheer Harder!". These can be obtained in the Guild Fest Aid category of the merchant and will cost Guild Coins to purchase. Take note that you will provide a much more effective boost if you buff your fellow guild members, rather than using it on yourself - think teamwork!

Guild Fest Commendations
 
 
Once the Donation Phase is over, the scores will lock in and tallied up to see who is the ultimate winner and where each guild is placed in each reward bracket: this is known as the "Reward Phase". Amongst the fixed rewards for each bracket (more info on those below), you can expect to earn another currency called "Guild Fest Commendations". Not to be confused with the aforementioned Guild Fest Tokens, these Commendations are used to purchase rewards from a special event category in the merchant. 
 
These rewards range from all sorts of useful additions for your home-island - specialists, buildings, buffs are all here for the taking. The important thing to remember however is that any unspent Commendations will be removed when the Reward Phase ends, so be sure to spend all that you can before the event timer ends so that you don't waste any!

A trophy awarded to the mightiest guilds in the realm. Processing one is a testament to the cooperative prowess of the members. It applies the "Bragging Rights" Buff. The buff "Bragging rights" will offer you a zone buff that improves most productions on the island and speeds up unit recruitment. 
Will increase resource storage by up to 40000. It has 7 Upgrade Levels and Achievements are required for the upgrades. 
Once deleted, it will return to the Star Menu, but all upgrade levels will be lost! 
A trophy awarded to the mightiest guilds in the realm. Processing one is a testament to the cooperative prowess of the members.

However, we will update this FAQ with more questions and answers when we have more detailed information! Thank you for being part of this Guild Tournament and for sharing your valuable intel!
1. What’s the duration of this "Event”?
 The event consists of 2 phases: 10 days of guilds competing against each other followed by a 3 days reward phase where you can collect your rewards
2. How often and when will Guild Fest be available?
 Guild Fest is a recurring tournament event that we plan to run 2-4 times a year. The exact cadence is not yet final but it will be more than once a year.
3. Is this a worldwide guild event?
 The Guild Fest is active per Instance. There is no region-wide/worldwide competition.
4. Is there a chance we won’t have our usual annual events due to Guild Fest?
 Absolutely not! Guild Fest is scheduled to run in between other events. The other seasonal events remain.
5. What are Guild Fest Tokens <img src="https://ubistatic-a.akamaihd.net/0034/int/forum/pictures/guildfest/UBB_DSO_GuildTournament_Icon_CoinTokens.png" width="15" height="15" style="float: center;"/> and where can I find them?
 - You can earn Guild Fest tokens by completing Guild Fest quests, coop adventures, or the respective productions in the Guild Fest grounds or additional Guild Fest accommodation buildings.
 - Earning or producing guild fest tokens will automatically increase your guild's contest points score and rank in the Guild Fest leaderboard.
6. Why can't I see the Guild Fest Tokens in my Storage, only the Commendations are listed.
 The Tokens are only visible/trackable in the quests (Hovertext) itself and are not displayed in the Storage.
7. What are Guild Fest Commendations <img src="https://ubistatic-a.akamaihd.net/0034/int/forum/pictures/guildfest/UBB_DSO_GuildTournament_Icon_Tickets.png" width="15" height="15" style="float: center;"/> and how do I earn them?
 - Guild Fest Commendations are the event reward currency. The amount you will receive in the reward phase is based on your guild's reward tier, which is achieved when the contest phase of the event ends.
 - During the reward phase you can claim your Guild Fest Commendations together with some fixed rewards via the "Claim reward" button in the Guild Fest window.
 - Guild Fest Commendations can be turned in for cool prices in the merchant's Guild Fest Rewards section!
8. Do we keep the Guild Fest Commendations after the Guild Fest?
 No, like every event resource it will be removed after the reward phase.
9. Do we get Guild Fest Tokens from explorers?
 No. Guild Fest tokens are acquired only by completing Guild Fest quests, coop adventures, and the respective productions in the Guild Fest Grounds or additional Guild Fest accommodation buildings.
10. Do I need a guild to join this event?
 Yes, you need a guild with at least 2 members.
11. My guild is very small and most of them are inactive. What do I do?
 Even with a small guild, you can participate and get some rewards. Just try your best and show that even smaller guilds are strong!
12. Why does the quest progress bar for "Join a guild with at least 2 members" look completed even when I'm not in a guild?
 Unfortunately, that's a bug! It only looks completed but it's not. We will fix this bug as soon as possible!
13. I am low-level and don't have many spare resources to participate :(
 Don't worry! You will get there, too! The idea behind Guild Fest is to foster collaboration within guilds, including trading resources between guild members to keep everyone's production lines and quests running and go on adventures together. In addition, you could also trade resources with no-guildies!
14. I don't understand the tracking bar in the Guild Fest panel!
 The tracking bar shows the reward tier progress of your guild. The different sections are separated in:
 Good Try: Your guild participated successfully but didn't collect enough Guild Fest Tokens to reach a higher Tier.
 Bronze: The best 80% - 31%
 Silver: The best 30% - 11%
 Gold: The best 10%
 The Winner is not represented in the ranking bar as there is only the one and only winner per game world!
15. What are the Comfy, Cozy, and Cushy Guild Fest Accommodations?
 These are temporary support buildings that work like the Guild Fest Grounds. They will be removed after the event!
16. I don't see my guild in the leaderboard!
 The leaderboard only shows the 10 highest-ranked guilds of a game world. Once your guild reaches the same score or higher than one of the other top 10 guilds, your guild should show up as well.
17. Is it possible to see how many Guild Fest Tokens I earned myself or by specific guild members?
 No, you can only see the total amount of your guild's Guild Fest Tokens and can not track specific members' participation.
18. I have no active quest to count the Guild Fest Tokens. What happens to the Tokens I create afterward?
 The quests are irrelevant to the guilds' score. Even if you completed all quests but still produced Guild Fest Tokens, it will still count toward your guild's score. This also counts for adventure rewards. If you get Guild Fest Tokens from an adventure without a quest, it still counts.
19. I don't want to contribute. Will I still get the rewards from my guilds' rank?
 No, to be eligible for rewards, you must have an individual contribution of 1000 Guild Fest Tokens. Otherwise, your guild could be the winner but you cannot claim the reward!
20. I don't understand which items I get per rank. As a winner, do I also get all other rewards from previous ranks?
 No, the rewards stated per rank in the Guild Fest Panel are the actual items you get after the event.
21. After the event, I cannot buy everything from the shop with the Commendations. Is there a possibility to get the rest via gems?
 No, but Guild Fest is not a one-time event. It is coming back and many reward items are also going to come back.
